Send money safely: tips to avoid mistakes and scams
A few precautions prevent almost every problem when sending money. These are the ones we recommend.
Only pay the account on your transfer
The right Zelle phone number and account holder are the ones on your transfer page, at elbazardepatry.com. If anyone asks you to pay another account, don’t, and write to us.
Check that Zelle shows you the same holder name before confirming the payment.
Always write the transfer code
Put the code (EBP-…) in the Zelle memo. That way we know whose payment it is and confirm it sooner.
We will never ask for your password
Nobody from El Bazar de Patry will ask for your password, the codes your bank sends you or your card details. If someone does in our name, it is a scam attempt.
Always go to the site by typing elbazardepatry.com, and be wary of look-alike links.
Check your family’s details
Check the beneficiary’s full name, ID card, phone and address. A typo can delay the delivery.
Let your family know
Tell them a transfer is coming and to keep their ID card handy. Our courier will identify themselves and ask for the ID card before handing over the money.
If something looks wrong
Message us on WhatsApp or through the contact section, with your transfer code. We reply during our opening hours.
